Large-Capacity 10 MW / 10 MWh Battery Storage in Vítkovice

Challenge

ČEZ Energo operates energy infrastructure in the Vítkovice industrial site, where demand for grid flexibility and large-scale ancillary services is growing.

A storage system in the order of several megawatt-hours was needed, capable of both stabilizing the local grid and trading flexibility on the balancing energy market.

Solution

We delivered a battery storage system with 10 MW of power and 10 MWh of capacity, based on lithium-NMC technology — one of the largest storage systems of this type in IBG's portfolio.

The storage system provides ancillary services to the transmission grid and confirms IBG's ability to deliver large-capacity solutions for energy sector customers as well.
