Business focus and professional scope

IBG Česko s.r.o. is currently undergoing the most significant changes since its founding in 2002, affecting every part of the company, including fundamental changes in the technologies within our product portfolio. The need for these changes reflects the ongoing transformation of the entire energy sector, which is incorporating new modern trends leading to the decarbonisation of the whole industry.

Implementing a new strategy that reflects these emerging trends in energy touches the entire company — from products and the creation of IBG’s complex-solution know-how, through organisation, processes, all the way to management systems, reporting and ICT. Particular attention is being paid to HR, whether it’s the need to fill newly created positions with competent staff, ensuring sufficient headcount in existing positions, or a sophisticated training system needed to maintain today’s market position and the ability to establish ourselves in new product and market areas.

The external drivers for implementing the company’s new strategy were, above all, new trends in energy linked to the decentralisation of electricity and heat generation, emerging Industry 4.0-based projects, and also the massive shift to lithium battery technology. The internal drivers were mainly increasing the company’s productivity, optimising existing processes and implementing new ones, including adjustments to the organisational structure that enable further activity and growth.

To make management easier and present the company’s activities more clearly, we have divided them into seven areas:

  • Decentralised energy generation
  • Energy storage
  • Backup power
  • Charging infrastructure for electromobility
  • Batteries for transport technology
  • Traction battery systems

The goal of the changes we have implemented is to build on IBG’s existing successes, position and experience, and move the company into new areas and products, increase turnover and profits, differentiate ourselves from the competition both through the breadth of our activities and products and through the creation of our own unique solutions, and thereby stabilise the entire company in the long term and secure its growth.
