These principles and rules are binding on all representatives and employees of the company within internal processes, as well as in relation to external partners and the public, in order to ensure the company’s long-term sustainable operation and to create an appropriate working environment.
Environmental protection
Responsible use of natural resources
Our conduct is guided by respect for natural resources and an effort to minimise negative impacts on the environment. We are aware of our role in protecting ecosystems and nature as a whole, and therefore advocate a responsible approach to the use of raw materials, recycling and energy management.
Reducing environmental impact and preventing pollution
We track innovative ways to reduce our carbon footprint, while also supporting the development of technologies and practices linked to product life cycles, reducing waste production and preventing pollution.
Social responsibility
Working conditions
Employees carry out their work at the company only on the basis of a concluded employment relationship, or a legal relationship established by agreements on work performed outside an employment relationship, in accordance with the requirements of applicable legislation. Employment contracts and agreements must be clear, precise and fully transparent.
The company is required to pay the agreed wage and to make social security and health insurance contributions in accordance with applicable legislation. Within the scope of work, it is required to comply with the statutory limits on working hours, leave, work on public holidays and rest periods. Overtime is treated as an exceptional situation, not standard practice.
Every employee has the right to freely associate in trade unions or other working groups that represent their interests.
Employee health and safety
The company fully recognises its responsibility for ensuring a safe working environment that does not endanger health. Our aim is to prevent workplace accidents and to apply appropriate safety measures to minimise risks associated with work activities. We organise regular training and emergency-preparedness drills.
Human rights, prohibition of forced or involuntary labour
The company fully rejects the use of any form of child labour and fully respects international and local legislation regarding the minimum age for employment. We consider the employment of persons on the basis of forced or illegal labour to be entirely unacceptable.
We are aware of our responsibility not only within our own operations but also throughout the entire supply chain. We require all our suppliers and partner companies to adhere to the same standards and principles regarding the prohibition of child and forced labour.
Protection of vulnerable groups of employees
We pay close attention to the increased protection of young employees and place emphasis on the special protection of pregnant employees, breastfeeding mothers and employees up to the ninth month after childbirth, including adapted working conditions.
Equal opportunities, diversity, inclusion and a non-discriminatory environment
Our company believes in equal opportunities for all employees regardless of age, gender, race, ethnic origin, religion, sexual orientation or any other personal characteristics. All forms of discrimination, unequal treatment, harassment or cruel or inhuman behaviour are unacceptable within our company.
Protection of personal data
The company pays attention to the protection of the personal data of all employees and other persons whose data it processes, and complies with applicable data protection legislation (GDPR).
Responsibility towards customers
The company places the utmost emphasis on the quality of the products and services provided, product safety, and transparent communication free of any distortion that could influence customers’ decision-making. The complaints process should be simple and fast.
Corporate governance
Business ethics and insider trading
We apply the highest standards of integrity in all business relationships — a zero-tolerance policy towards bribery, corruption, extortion and embezzlement. The company strictly prohibits insider trading and any misuse of non-public information.
Intellectual property and supplier relationships
We ensure the protection of all intellectual property rights, both our own and those of partners and third parties. We work only with reputable and vetted business partners, whom we regularly review and evaluate.
Conflicts of interest, gifts and hospitality
Private activities, financial interests or personal relationships must not negatively affect the ability to perform work duties objectively. Cash gifts are prohibited; gifts and hospitality must always be reasonable and transparent.
Whistleblowing
We provide full support and protection to individuals who report conflicts of interest, bribery or other ethical concerns. Whistleblowers are protected against any form of penalty or retaliation. See the Whistleblowing page.
The Code of Ethics was discussed and approved by the company’s management in Kralupy nad Vltavou on 1 September 2024.
