BESS + IES Battery System for SAPELI

Challenge

Door manufacturer SAPELI was looking for a way to reduce peak-demand costs while also increasing operational resilience against grid outages.

The solution was meant to combine a large-capacity storage system with a smaller, rapidly deployable IES system for supplementary services.

Solution

We delivered a BESS battery storage system with 1 MW of power and 2.3 MWh of capacity, together with an IES system with 110 kW of power and 300 kWh of capacity, both based on NMC technology.

The combination of both systems covers both longer-term consumption optimization and fast response to peaks and outages.
