Generator Set for Pump Backup in Prague-Radotín

Challenge

The Prague-Radotín II drinking-water pumping station must operate continuously — a power outage to the pumps would jeopardize the drinking water supply.

A backup source had to be sized with sufficient margin for a full pump start-up even during a grid outage.

Solution

We supplied and installed a 2.2 MW generator set as a backup source for the drinking-water pumps.

The solution provides full backup for the pumping station's operation even during a prolonged outage of the public grid.
