Supply of Cogeneration Units for Prometheus (Pražská plynárenská)

Challenge

Prometheus, a member of the Pražská plynárenská group, needed to increase local combined heat and power generation for Prague's district heating network.

The solution had to cover two different power levels to match the heat demand profile in different parts of the network.

Solution

We delivered two cogeneration units — with electrical outputs of 1,000 kW and 450 kW and usable thermal outputs of 1,045 kW and 605 kW respectively.

Both units generate electricity and heat from a single fuel simultaneously, reducing fuel consumption compared with separate generation.
