Decentralized Generation

Generate energy where you use it.

With solar power and cogeneration, we help improve your energy balance and reduce your dependence on the distribution grid. We analyze, design, and supply a complete system tailored to your needs, including ongoing maintenance.

What it is

Solar and cogeneration — electricity and heat from a single source.

Cogeneration units (CHP) generate electricity and heat simultaneously from a single fuel (most commonly natural gas, biogas, or hydrogen). The waste heat from power generation can be used for heating or hot water — ideal wherever you draw both heat and electricity at once (production halls, heating plants, hospitals, pools, hotels). We supply units from German manufacturer 2G Energy AG, ranging from 20 kW to 4,500 kW, including variants ready for 100% hydrogen combustion.

We design solar systems around the building's real consumption profile, not just the available roof area — the goal is maximum self-consumption of the energy generated, extended beyond daylight hours when combined with battery storage.

We deliver solar systems in power ranges from a few kWp up to 10 MWp, always turnkey – including project documentation, distribution-company permits, and commissioning. Payback typically ranges from 3.5 to 10 years, depending on the building's consumption and electricity tariff.

Electricity and heat from a single fuel

Cogeneration increases energy efficiency and cuts the cost of generating heat and electricity separately.

8,500+ 2G Energy installations

A proven German manufacturer used in agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, and education worldwide.

Hydrogen-ready

2G Energy units can be converted to run on 100% hydrogen — future-ready, today.

Independent power source

Your own generation keeps running even during a grid outage, such as a blackout.

When you need it

Does this sound like you?

Decentralized generation pays off wherever there's stable demand for both heat and electricity, or where you want less dependence on the grid.

01

Steady demand for heat and electricity

A production hall, heating plant, hospital, or hotel — cogeneration covers both from a single fuel.

02

Rising energy prices

Generating your own electricity and heat reduces fuel consumption compared to separate generation.

03

Available roof or ground space

We design solar systems to match your real consumption, not just the available space.

04

Need for an independent power source

A cogeneration unit also serves as an independent power source during a grid outage.

Frequently asked questions

The main driver is usually the cost of heat supply to the building — but we always assess and calculate each installation individually.
Most commonly natural gas or biogas, though 2G Energy units can also be prepared to run on 100% hydrogen.
Most commonly in a boiler room (with or without an acoustic enclosure), or alternatively in a specially sound-insulated container.
Yes, we design both technologies independently or in combination — always based on the building's real consumption.
Both solar power and cogeneration units qualify for funding programs such as OP TAK — we identify the right program and handle the application for you.
